Another threshold passed...

Hello, friends.

Team Wilson has passed another threshold in the quest to raise 100 One World Futbols for children around the world. As of this writing, 21 futbols have been purchased, with the capacity for serving 630 children.

But 20 futbols was the key threshold. That's when the One World Futbol Project begins to match each $25 donation with a $5 supplement. And that money accrues to purchase more futbols. So with the purchase of 21 futbols, we have already accumulated an additional $105 in credits, which means an additional four futbols are set aside for donation

From this point forward, each $25 contribution toward an indestructible soccer ball yields an additional $5 toward purchase of more balls.

What that means is that a soccer ball that essentially survives indefinitely costs only twice the standard fixed-lifetime soccer ball that you could purchase for around $10 online. Given the longevity of the One World Futbol, this is an impressive bargain.

Celebrating this milestone with Wilson in the photo below are Shirley Ganse, my Costa Rica traveling companion; myself, on the right; and on the left, Alex, our Groupon group guide for the first leg of our Costa Rican adventure. Note that at the time this photo was taken, it wasn't raining cats and dogs.

Anyone wishing to purchase a ball for donation may use the link at the top of this page, or simple ckick this link: oneworldfutbol.com/campaigns/wilson/.

Wilson thanks you for your participation.

(P.S. I'm seeing links additional links on this page which I have not created myself. This happened on the German Internet, and it's happening in Costa Rica as well. I hope you are not seeing them where you are situated. There doesn't seem to be a way to prevent this. Grrrrrrr.)

Love,
Robert, Shirley,
and Wilson, The Indestructible.
